Greetings!

I wanted to let everyone know that on Wednesday, June 24th we will be having a different schedule then normal. We will have a shortened Overflow, followed by a parents meeting, which will then be followed by a MFUGE meeting for parents and youth. Sorry, I know, that is a lot of meetings. But we have a lot to go over.

So the Wednesday schedule that night will look as follows…
  • Overflow will go from 6:00 -7:00.
  • Parents’ meeting at 7:15. (students are welcome to attend if they like)
  • An informational MFUGE meeting for parents and students who have signed up will start at 8:00.

Thanks,

Ross

Hello!

Hello Everyone,

Hope that the first couple of weeks of your summer is going well. I Just wanted to say that I am excited about coming to Second Baptist Church. I sincerely believe that this is where God wants Caroline and myself to be. Having attended Second Baptist while we were in college, we both have gained an appreciation and respect for you. We thank you for ministering to us at during a pivotal time in our lives.

My hope for the student ministries is that we work together to become intimate obedient followers of Jesus Christ. I like the idea of working together to achieve this goal. Hopefully I can lead and influence you, but I also want you to know that I expect to learn a great deal from you. One of the greatest joys that I have while partaking in student ministry is to see students become passionate about their relationship with Jesus Christ. Whenever I see your passion, it inspires and challenges me.

All in all, my prayer is that the college and student ministries at Second Baptist will be able to abide and follow the church's mission statement. That we might be empowered by the Holy Spirit, to encounter God in worship, effectively share the gospel of Jesus Christ, equip belieivers, and engage in servant-hearted ministry.

See you soon,

Ross
